Black Diamond believes that all of our students accomplishments should be acknowledged. Including those outside the Dojo. We want to make sure that we provide a positive environment for all members all ages.

Name: Mike Panny
Age: 11
Grade: 5
Recognition summary: Grand Champion in the "First in Math Challenge"
Mike earned the title of Grand Champion by showing off his exceptional
math and science skills by earning 10,000 math stickers. He is ranked
in the top 100 students in his school which is currently ranked 2nd in
the nation for K-8th grade. He is the 12th student in the 5th grade out
of 75 5th graders to achieve this goal. In addition to his math and science skills, Mike was also one of five
students chosen from his school represent the districts Aspire program
(a branch of the Gifted and Talented program). Mike was chosen based on
a logo he submitted to the Office of Instruction and Curriculum. Mike
began Karate on January 31,2016 and has now earned his stripe for Orange
belt. He hopes to earn his green belt by the summer of 2017.
It is truly an honor to have Mike at our karate school. Congratulations Mike.
